I don't. XD I'm not fond of tormented weapons. lol

Mediocore players? lol. I doubt all who are doing it are mediocore players. I bet a lot are people who have played many years and just want money/more money.

I do hope they don't nerf the skill, mainly because I enjoy using it (and no, I'm not one who uses it only in DOA). It's a fun alternative for rits now that nearly every rit is some form of a spirit spammer these days...I almost wish they'd nerf SoS. lol

But anyway, prices going down because people are killing stuff in DOA a lot again lately.

Less people playing + lower demand (cos a lot of players already have Tormy's) + larger supply = lower prices..

All I'm gonna say is this: I bought a tormented shield off an armbrace for 26 ecto. That is a ridiculous price. I've seen guild groups do DoA in a matter of 90 minutes, tops. There is no justification for that kind of price on something that can be farmed.

And frankly, it makes DoA more accessible to me. I don't have time to become a 1337 m4cr0 k1ng and pwn those NPCs for their gems. I want to play the game, ALL the game, and get what everyone else has. The game is 5 years old; why are you still acting like such selfish buggers? If you have that much ecto and money, then try a different game, because you've clearly mastered this one.

Heck, I've still only beaten UW once on a non-sin character, and I've only done a guild battle 3 times. The Deep? Never been past the first group of monsters. It's crappy to know that I won't get to play them either because there are so few dedicated people who know the maps who are on anymore. DoA looks like fun and you get cool rewards: why shouldn't I use the easiest method out there to win? Just because the US has tanks and missiles, are you saying we should stick to muskets, because "where's the fun in that?"

No. So quit crying and realize that this is a GAME a bit more, and start letting some of us lazy farts who work all day have a bit of fun.

TBH I don't see a "problem".

Ecto is now at 7k/ea if i'm buying from a player now, before SF nerf I bought them at 4-5k/ea. Ambraces were 40-47e before sf got nerfed and now they are 24-27e.

40 * 4k = 160k
24 * 7k = 168k
40 * 4,5k = 180k
47 * 4k = 188k
27 * 7k = 189k
40 * 5k = 200k
47 * 4,5k = 211k 500g
47 * 5k = 235k
40 * 6k = 240k
47 * 6k = 282k

Now the lowest price before SF nerf was lower then the lowest price now, the highest price well was alot higher (but only stupid people bought at that price). And ow yes when you go back in time (beginning of NF) then the Ambrace prices were somewhere between 400k-1800k+/ea?

You think i'm wrong? Titan gems were 90-120k/ea and you need 15 of each gem (if you wanna be sure you'll get an Ambrace). The other gems were somewhere between 20-80k, the Stygian gems went down fast to about 2k/ea cause Rangers were able to farm them with Echo Dust trapping builds.

Yes DwG is a reason why the price is dropping but it's not yet a problem, will it become a problem? for some it will become a problem and for others it'll be a "blessing".

Just go with the flow, if you have ambraces I would say try and sell them asap cause the prices will continue to drop, if it becomes a problem then it's gonna be there for a long time, or it could even stay there cause of GW2.

Anyway if everyone starts to sell there Ambraces then the market will be flooded with them and that will result in an even bigger price drop.

But Anet might "fix" it and the prices will skyrocket again.

There are people that are gonna loose millions of pixelgold and there are people who are gonna gain millions of pixelgold cause of this. Anyway it's just a game... so wealth and power, hmmm... well it's not important aslong as you are having fun.

People are over reacting armbraces used to be 225k and there now 182k, not much of a difference.

I peed a little when i read that. Kudos.

On topic, I'm one of those people who never liked the Torment skins, so it doesn't matter to me how low they fall. Although maybe if they drop to 100k, I'll finally pick up a staff, that skin is kind of nice.
In the end though, it's just a status item, and if you need a status item that badly...

Not to mention that if GW2 really is the shining glory that we are lead to believe, then all the ecto in the world will mean diddly squat soon enough...

The next price drop will come, when they finally tell us what we get for the Hall of Monuments (or in true GW style not get) in Guild Wars 2.

As it stands right now the HoM is scam in my mind, until proven otherwise.
It's out for 3 years and they are not telling us what we get, maybe for the better.

Nicely explained. Note that back in the days you needed 25 of each gem for an Armbrace

Well cant say tormented feels specials like they did back in the days when DoA were new. Now its just a simple farm like UW or FoW with competely lame setup.

And yes prices will go down as everyone has mentioned people will buy eventually have everything in their hom, and tormented is just another common item.

Im not claiming thats a good time, just for a pug, thats almost ursan speeds. In fact, in some areas it was better then ursan (such as beginning of veil).
You call 1hr and 40 minutes in NM a steam roll? Full DoA clears are done by guilds with very easy to run builds in around an hour in HM. Maybe that's a good time for a PuG but for anything to take an hour and 40 minutes in a game and be considered a good time, your game is requiring way to much of your time.

DoA was always terribly balanced, acting as a barrier to content for the majority of the player base (thus the prices of armbraces being so high for such ugly weapons). If the prices of armbraces are dropping, it means something was done right. Hopefully the Live Team will buff more classes to make DoA more accessible to players.

Anything that is farmable will always drop in value. The ease of the farm is all that effects the price.

It's just as easy to AP farm there in NM lol. IDK what all the whining is about. AP-->Arcane Echo-->Ebon Vanguard Sin Support--Pain Inverter-->....you get the point. Throw in some good old Necro EZ Fo' Sheezee Way and you can make the same argument. Don't hate the Skill barz, Hate the game and quit playing. I like that 3 years after the fact that people can get their Armbrace now. Where is all the hate for the Armbrace dupers? Shouldn't they be to blame as well for exploiting the game? At least the people using DwG aren't cheating. Some people that claim to be pro on here are doing an awful amount of whining in this thread.

I like you, man. In other words, I agree 100%
If they fall, let it fall. It's a good thing and means more players could afford DoA weapons, which also means they're easier to sell to the average player

I earned my DoA stuff, but I could care less what happens to the market. To be honest it's all hideous looking anyway, and DoA needs people to play it whether they're farming or not because the population was always really bad on the US side.

The words of a wise man.

It is always within a game manufacturer's best interests to keep their players busy with content, and blocking off one area of the game does not help with that. The recent buffs to certain professions allowed a lot of players to experience content and capture rewards they were not able to before.

Some of you people just need to pull your heads out of your Xunlai storage boxes, sniff some fresh air, and remember that it is a game.
